However, I knew that I couldn’t live in fear and had to push on and finally overcome my biggest fear. I’m so glad that you are there to help me overcome that.

               You have been an incredible mentor to me. I really appreciate all the care and attention you put into helping people get back on the road, not just with me but with everyone. There are people in this world that do their own jobs just because they have to get by. I can tell that you are different though. This isn’t just a job for you. It’s a passion. I think that’s what sets you apart. In short, you care.

               I knew from the very beginning that driving would be a difficult task. You helped me gain the confidence that I knew I had, but couldn’t muster myself. I really appreciate your brutal honesty through everything as well. That honesty is why I knew I was going to be able to be able to drive on my own. It gave me a sense of trust. If you knew I could do something, then I knew it as well.

               There is one thing that I most appreciated about you during all this. That is your capacity to have an open dialogue. We had to spend hours together confined in a small space. For some people that would be a living hell. Especially if you can’t converse with the person you’re stuck with. I don’t think that was the case with us. We had a range of interesting discussions from A to Z. Sometimes we agreed, and sometimes we didn’t. In my experience I find that to be a very rare quality in people. But, I truly enjoyed our conversations. Even if we disagreed on something, you still listened through a veil of curiosity and not judgment, and I like to believe that I reciprocated the same.

               I think with the way that you treat people you will have continued success throughout your lifetime. I hope nothing but the best for you. Thank you again for all your hard work in helping me on my journey to become the best version of myself that I can possibly be. Thank you for seeing what I’m capable of and for treating me like a human being.
